Math Trek Algebra 1 is a comprehensive, curriculum-based program for the algebra curriculum. It is a multimedia program with interactive tutorials, problem solving, activities, explorations, exercises, various tools (scientific calculator, glossary, and journal), assessment components and student tracking.

Math Trek Algebra 1 is an engaging multimedia program with sound, animation, and graphics, which provides direct links to the curriculum. The program is organized by the typical topics found in the curricula of most educational jurisdictions. Tutorials, activities, performance tasks, and on-line assessment provide multiple contexts and opportunities for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. The program may be used on standalone computers or on a network, on either Macintosh or Windows computers.

Curriculum Content
Math Trek Algebra 1 covers the standard curriculum taught in Algebra 1, throughout North America. It includes the philosophy and standards of the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.)

For each topic there is a Show Skills button that clearly outlines the learning outcomes (expectations).

It consists of: software overview; additional resources for the classroom teacher including skill-based classroom activities, individual student activities and culminating performance tasks that incorporate a number of skills in a meaningful context; curriculum planning materials, scope and sequence by topic, grade, and skills and knowledge; extension activities for the individual, small group or whole class; correlation of activities with NCTM standards easy to follow instructions for loading and using Algebra 1 blackline masters for non-computer activities.
